Downloading Nirvana, by Glen Byford reviewed
The last ten days, from the beginning of my recovery from a operation
for Prostate Cancer, has been eased along by a book fashioned
around people close to me, in-fact some very close may even be family,
if I don't sound sure it's because its a work of fiction but the inspiration
is so so familiar, it became like a sudoku puzzle for me,
filling in parts moving them around trying to get it all to add up,
Was it a game show I was on, or a refresher course to brush up my life
skills, I don't know but I feel all the better for reading it.
I shed a few tears and also roared with laughter, for me a moving book,
Well-done Glen,

I've been there and back
To the limit
As I push on out
the whizz of rubber
the flapping of cloth
warming of muscle
inflating lungs
just bumblebee exceleration
to clear the hemmed in fog
cycling to freedom
desperate measures to
slow the mind
thats stuck on spin

Yes it did work

Was this the early influence of the Batman comics ?
Along way down
When the boys started to ride their bikes
many years ago a trip out took us to a
local hill, on seeing the long steep decline
the boys renamed it Holy Shit Hill,
was this a early influence of
The Batman comics on their lives.
The second picture is looking down the hill,
the last is looking back up.
Pictures taken last week on one of my
recent trips down memory lane.

Temptation of the tin
We sell it,
it's just the job,
look next door they sell it,
all the doors are open come on in,
so many friendly buildings with open arms,
shelfs stacked with that taste good factor,
all I had to do was say no,
No was not in my vocabulary today,
but when you can't say no,
later is safer.
Walk on by.

Our world, A Good Start.
And we are off,
its monday dustman day
the week has started,
stray paper being whipped
up by the wind,
Mr Fox obtaining quality nosh
on his daily journey around town,
as our little ones sleep.
all is fine with the world.
The warm sun kisses the roof tops.
all is fine in my little world,
If you keep your head down
and don't let the mind stray too far.

I've been walking all week
When I say I've been no where special thats not
exactly true, I've been walking around my home
town, following well worn trails from the past,
climbing over memories, ducking down short cuts,
and its been great because they have all led home.
last night I felt a lot older than my years
when I went to bed, about one hundred and five
it's taken all day to partly recover
Till the next time.

Home work ?
Doing Andy's Homework.
All or nothing,
Sod it! go for a poem.
User involvement and volunteering,
what are you going to get out of it ?
Its like a race you don't have to get any thing out of it,
your not compelled! to take part
we are not all runners,
its how I get my info listening here,
listening there,
some time the bones ball comes in to play,
you make a friend, you have a laugh,
no body laughs at you,
they laugh with you.
This is only home work
so miss out the middle bit
skip to the end.
Confidence is rising
you will tell um,
in the end.

A alternative or extension to Glastonbury
Is this a annual event for you,
I know the festival is but I'm thinking of the disappointed fans,
the country has gone to the dogs
with no hope of the government rectifying it
and now just to rub it in Glast'o all sold out,
just may be while parliament is in recess some fine entrepreneur
Could put the building with all its many bars to good use
and just to promote abstinence and a clear head for the return of parliament.
A donation of all alcohol on the premises
going to the revelers.

World Mental Health Day
10 October 2012
World Mental Health
World Mental Health Day raises public awareness about mental health issues.
The day promotes open discussion of mental health disorders,
and investments in prevention, promotion and treatment services .
this year it is "Depression: A Global Crisis".
Todays Blog has all ready grown into such a rambling rush in my head,
Yes I know its a contradiction of words, "Head Please please slow down",
thoughts are rush in, I'm unable to action on the idea as quick,
but good ideas are valuable, they have taken just a fraction of time to
generate. Time not a commodity to wast, a one point the only way to stop
the heads filling with fog was to jam it, with alcohol,
( easier to drink than spell ),
I'm digressing but you get the picture. Must stop it hear ,
more fog coming in.

West Coast Main Line
Dear Richard
Did you hear me!
As the country wakes up to the news,
that the government admit they got it wrong,
news now silently creeping from the tunnel of darkness
A shout of YES! as I pushed my fist in the air,
at seven O'clock this morning,
Mister Branson Sir, you give us all hope,
in changing wrongly awarded contracts,
Thank You.
Best Regards.
Stuart.
P.S Our fight goes on.
Good luck with the tendering.
